Special Events Planned Giving Ways to Donate Diocese of Las Cruces Foundation, Inc.

The Diocese of Las Cruces Foundation sponsors several fund-raising events throughout the year. The money raised from these community events is deposited into a General Endowment Fund. The major fund-raising events include the annual Golf Tournament hosted in May, the annual Bishop's Birthday Party hosted in September, and the annual Las Cruces International Mariachi Conference in November.

Foundation/Special Events

Bishop Ricardo Ramirez distributed humanitarian funds throughout the diocese with the help of donor’s and their generosity. The Diocese of Las Cruces Foundation was able to distribute $23,000 to 30 different charities around the diocese on April 29th 2005. This was made possible through our fundraising events like the Annual Golf Scramble, Bishop Ramirez Birthday Party event and the Las Cruces International Mariachi Conference.

The interest generated from the General Endowment Fund allows the Foundation to distribute these proceeds to charities throughout the diocese. These proceeds support social, educational and community charities which assist our neediest families.

The following charities received funds on April 2005:

St. Vincent de Paul – Mescalero, St. Jude – Alamogordo, COPE, St. Vincent de Paul – Lovington, Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Vincent de Paul – Dexter, St. Edwards Ecumenical Food Bank, St. Vincent de Paul – Artesia, Grammy's House, St. Peter's Good Samaritan, Roswell Refuge for Battered Adults, Roswell Refuge for Battered Adults, St. Vincent de Paul – Chaparral, St. Vincent de Paul-Sunland Park, El Refugio, St. Vincent de Paul - Mesilla Park, St. Vincent de Paul – Lordsburg, Our Lady of Purification, The Healing House – Deming, St. Vincent de Paul - Santa Clara.
