Pope John Paul II told us, "Only in service do human beings discover their own dignity and the dignity of others." Become an active member of your parish and community. Attend Mass and receive the Eucharist frequently.   Live the beatitudes. Share your talents. Join a prayer group, talk to clergy, or religious. Visit Vocations on line frequently. The Office of Vocations promotes vocation awareness and recruitment for diocesan priesthood and religious life. This includes general information on the nature of a vocation, interviews and discernment for interested persons and guidance for those making a positive decision to enter a formation program of priesthood and religious life. This office also directs the recruitment and formation of diocesan seminarians.

Holy Spirit of eternal Love, we thank you for all the vocations of apostles and saints which have enriched the Church. Continue your work among us. Look upon your Church today which has a particular need of holy priests who give faithful witness to your grace. She needs consecrated men and women who show the joy of those who live only to do God's will, who make their own the mission and the offering of Christ, and who build up in charity the people of God.

Holy Spirit, eternal Spring of joy and peace, open the hearts and minds of young men and women to your divine call to do good, to seek truth and to serve with charity. May their lives show forth the fidelity of your love that all may know Christ, the true light come into the world to offer to every human person the sure hope of eternal life. Amen.
