Medical Insurance
Provides insurance for all employees who work 20 hours a week or more. Negotiate with companies to provide medical/dental/life/accidental death and dismemberment/prescription drug and long term disability insurance. Work with insurance medical committee to try to provide the most affordable insurance to all employees. We provide an "umbrella" type of coverage and no location has permission to get insurance outside of our program. We cover lay employees, clergy, religious and retirees. We provide supplemental insurance for our clergy that are retired under social security to coordinate with Medicare.

All enrollments, terminations, changes come through this office. All copies of all billings come through this office as well.

Property Insurance
The Property insurance for the Diocese of Las Cruces is a program of self-insurance. The Diocese does purchase catastrophic insurance for large claims. Part of this program asks that all locations have inventory of their facility yearly. We ask that all locations maintain their buildings and make sure that their facilities are well maintained so as to avoid accidents. This part of the program also coordinates the Faith Environment Program for Adults.
