Diocesan ArchivesThe Diocesan Archives holds public records and historical documents. Archives are places of memory of the Christian community and storehouses of culture for the new evangelization. As places of memory, archives systematically gathers all the data making up the articulated history of the Church community so that what has been done, the results obtained, including omissions and errors, are properly evaluated. At the Diocesan Archives, historical sources document the process of evangelization of each particular church as well as the universal church. Archives preserve the sources describing the historical development of the Church community as well as those relating to the liturgical, sacramental, educational, and charitable activities which the clergy, religious, and lay members of the Church have carried out throughout the centuries up to the present day. The Diocesan Archives at The Pastoral Center is a small but well-constructed facility. It includes an inner storage facility which contains stacks, much like a library, tables, and filing cabinets. To submit articles for placement in the Diocesan Archives contact the Archivist. Articles can include pictures, correspondence, activity flyers, school calendars, if you're not certain about a document, letter, save it!
